Great looking car. It has to be in neutral or Park to get the key out. I forget if it's a four speed, probably in reverse. If the lockout linkage isnt there, see if you can get the wide part of the steering column to turn counterclockwise, that will allow you to remove the key. Oh and there are four positions for the key to be in clockwise: accessory (lets you play the radio and stuff), Off (lets you pull the key), run and start.

thanks Sheldon
I had a bit more of a fiddle and I must have been holding my tongue the wrong way, cos I went out later after posting and voila, she's out.

(no, not that kinda fiddle... tho I gotta say: I AM EXCITED   :bananasmi)

anyway,
I was hoping I'd find some goodies in the trunk, but nah.... just a bit of surface rust... best get hold of a service manual.

has anyone scanned one?

happy to pay, just seems dumb paying postage for a massive stack of paper...

I'm looking forward to seeing this play out.

I thought you would like that one :roflsmiley:

You should let Rod know that their is a bracket missing, just incase he has come by it, or it shows up and he does not recognize it, or what it is off.

You can always sit a tin with fuel in the engine bay for a fire up to hear it run. But it is a good idea to send the carbs away for a full rebuild of course. :2thumbs:

now for the rubber seal

another thread mentioned the size difference between a shaker seal and a T/A seal...
best do some research

Neat car. Is that a CCOA (vintage Cuda Challenger Owners Assc.) sticker on the windshield?
