Love the comment about office fingers....as a fellow office dweller I could not agree more.  It is even better when you get your whole hand dirty!!!

No. What you see is an ignition ballast resistor, and the other mounted on the wiper is for the 2 speed wiper motor.

Well,,,,,, I have been so busy I haven't had a chance to update the progress.
Took photos along the way thankfully...

After we got her running OK, we ordered a buncha parts.
Hooked into the wheels/brakes.
New bearing, brake components etc.

Then ripped the carbies off for recon.
Then the valley cover.

what should be found???
Why, a bent push rod of course....

so out comes the engine and it's off for a bath and rebuild.
gonna stick with the standards - not power / HP mods. all will be well after that,

whilst not entirely surprising, I was hoping a rebuild could be avoided.

I have tried to find Alan's T/A build forum but can't (assuming there WAS a forum, like the amazing car Alan just finished).

can anyone point me towards a good source for T/A engine painting specs?

also, what is the colour scheme under the hood?

I will paint the hood when the rest of the bodywork is getting done.

just wanna know what should be purple, black, (other colours) on the bodywork

also, what black should I use?

I recall a thread which discusses the correct black for the hood -  not an issue just yet....

 I quoted Crazy Pete's pics above hoping someone could give me a headsup as to what is or isn't correct with the colour scheme of the engine and engine bay.

mine has blackouts at the hood edge where the fender bolts on

is that correct? I recall Cody mentioning this in another thread as something to check out

as for the engine, should i paint the welsh plugs?
