Nice story, 72Cudadude!!!! I too kind of stumbled across mine. I happened to be looking through our local paper, The AdVertiser, and noticed in bold letters '1973 Challenger $2,000'. I couldn't believe such a car was in our area, so I asked my father how he'd feel if I gave the person a call to see if it was still for sale and if so, would he mind if I purchased it. Needless to say, he thought it was alright that I could buy it (after talking to my Uncle who restores a ton of old Fords). Let's just say he thought I was crazy for buying a car that was in primer, needed quarter panel repair, and had a cracked front windshield....But now he can't get over how nice it's beginning to look as more and more progress is done to it.
Remember, I grew up in a family that really doesn't have a thing for cars, with the exception of maybe a couple of my Uncles.
