center console lock

Hello guy havent been here for a long time ,my center console lock feld apart the other day am trying to get  it back together but when i push the button it doesent come back up and the sping is in it woundering if there a piece missing any one everer take one apart .

Got it wasent putting one of the srings in the right place.

There are three springs inside.  If the bottom plate isn't installed tight, the latch won't spring back.  I ran into this with my Dart.  The Challenger console lock and the Dart glove box lock take the same part.  If the plate isn't tight, the pin gets pushed past its stop and jams.

I ended up buying a new lock from Tony's Parts.  They are $40.  The new lock did the same thing after a couple pushes of the button.  I found that the bottom plate wasn't attached tightly to the main lock body.  I made a slight modification to hold the plate tight and it's been fine since.  That reminds me...I should take that lock with me to the Nats.  Maybe Tony will replace it.
