Ok. So I'm getting the picture posting figured out. Posted the story on newb  section. Just wanted to share my plum crazy 70 challenger as it gets restored on graveyard carz season 4.

The car had been sitting in a damp garage since mid 70's. Quarters were shot as well as trunk, floors, and inner quarters. The frame was fantastic. Mark has the frames dipped in a non acid bath that removes rust and paint. Then it gets dipped in something else to protect inner sections. Then the work begins. It's an all original 440-6 pack, pistol grip 4 speed, trac PAC, Dana rear, plum crazy car. The oly thing I'm not too excited about is its a stripe delete, white vinyl top, black interior car. Tri color cars are rare I guess but I'm not sure what to do. Maybe a white top will be nice as most I see have black tops. Mark will do whatever I ask as long as it's not a drastic change. Tops can be changed later and stripes can be removed.
Went to Oregon to meet the crew. Had a blast. All were very friendly and I spent 10 days out there. Daren and I had dinner almost every night. Had dinner with everyone a couple nights and I got to hang in the shop while I was there. Their work is incredible and the other guys behind the scenes are truly talented. Ok. I'll post more pics as things happen.

That's the way I hope it would be if I was ever fortunate enough to have them do a car for me.

Out of curiosity, how does the financing work.
Are you paying for the complete resto, or is some of it subsidized by the network?

Katfish. Pricing varies depending on the work owners want done. Some want complete restorations and others want partial work done. Everyone is different. Final costs are something we are asked to keep private to be fair to everyone.

Curious as I am a fan of the show how is it hanging out with them? Is Darren that annoying or just putting on for the show? He seems knowledgeable in some of the clips but then is a pain to deal with.

Will you be doing any of the reassembly work yourself or at least watching them do it all? It's nice to see where every part goes and how everything fits together if you've never restored before.

I guess my question was too complex?
Didn't ask for numbers or amounts.

Let's make it really simple.

Does the network pick up any of the costs for your car being on the show?

So there is more people working on the cars than what we see on the show?

Katfish. Guess I didn't make my answer clear. It was not too complex. I was given a price and that's it. Period. I don't have any idea if network pays for any of the costs. It was never discussed.
