I just looked at the 70 challenger, the metal section is bent down, following the angle of the steering box, yours looks like its pointing up.

As long as it has the correct "ends" and you can get it bolted in place with no kinks...you'll be fine :2cents:

:iagree:  my OE '73 just doesn't have so much bend in the bottom, you should be able to straighten a little so the hose lays flatter

Mine lays flatter along the steering box. It was probably like that to fit in a shipping box?

This was packaged in a baggie.

Here it is installed:

I am not sure I like it at this point.

Once installed on the pump side, it was very tight to attached the gear side.  Its almost like the hose is just a smidge to short.

I am not convinced there is enough slack in the hose to account for engine movement.

I think I am going to call and see if I can return it (it was special order)

The pump end is shaped very different than the OE.. Mine the metal tube turns straight up first then bends back down before curving toward the back...not saying what you have wont work

Yes, but the fitting on the box end is different.

Jason...Just carefully bend the metal tube back a bit to give you more slack on the rubber hose :2cents:

yeah...thanks Alan.  I nutted up and broke out the tubing bender...not it fits a lot better.

Suck when you have to make a brand new part fit...oh well.
