Junk Yard Road Runner
« on: August 09, 2014 - 11:04:11 AM »
So at the junk yard that had the challenger, they also had this road runner.

It's a 70 and he wants 18K for the car.
It needs a few small things here and there.
Motor runs and could be driven anywhere today.

It sat in a rod shop up in Colorado Springs for many years.  The guys at the shop lost the trim for the vinyl top so they made it a two tone paint job.
Apparently the vinyl roof was the original and was immaculate.

Here's some pics. Let me know if you want lots more pics or a number to call the guy.  Of if you want me to go there and do a through inspection for you if your interested.  Whoever you may be.

What engine and trans is in it?  Manual brakes and steering? Tubbed? How much is resto-mod vs original?

supposed to be matching numbers 383.
Don't believe it was tubbed.
Mostly original.   Just has those big tires and a two tone paint job. Otherwise, pretty much original.

Wow - original FC7 too. My brother had a convertible 70 Roadrunner with the Levis denim interior when we were teenagers. I always think of that car when I see a 70 Roadrunner.
