Hello, under unfortunate circumstances
« on: August 11, 2014 - 12:18:24 PM »
Hello all. Like stated above, i've used this board on an off since 2005 when I was member, but never needed to post as you guys have most everything covered/documented.  Actually forgot I was a member until I tried to sign up and said "USERNAME ALREADY EXIST"!

My father recently passed after a short battle with cancer and now I have taken ownership of his beloved 1970 Cuda 440.  I don't have alot of money for any kind of showy build, but I hope to do it proud and make my father proud to have his car continue on.

First crank in 6 years, 1970 Plymouth Cuda

Sorry for your loss Tony.  Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.  I loss my father to cancer 2 years ago, so I feel your pain.   :angelwings:

It a beautiful car and I'm sure he will be proud of your efforts.  This is a great place to come for help, kind of like an extended family.

Thank you very much.  I've already been helped by another member in some wheel numbers I thought I researched good enough.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.  I'm still having trouble handling all this but I hope each day is easier than the last.

He bought the car brand new right out of the army and it's been with us it's whole life. Of the 54, 000 miles...they were mostly put on a 1/4 mile at time.

Welcome back and you'll remember your Dad every time you fire that fine piece up. Be grateful for the love he gave you and the car that commemorates it, as I'm sure you will be. Time is the great healer.  :angelwings:

Thank ya Sir.

If the weather holds out this week I'm going to try to take it to the dragstrip for the first time in 35 some odd years.

Hi Tony, I lost my dad a little over a month ago, I'm sorry for your loss. I think you'll do your dad proud, it's a beautiful car.  Where did you get the flag frame? I was presented with dad's flag and really want to frame it along with his medals and uniform jacket.

It was provided by the funeral home. The ring in the middle is his wedding band.
