I need to find a good (fair, poor whatev) cuda or chally
« on: April 24, 2005 - 04:57:21 PM »
I'm on the hunt for a reasonable 318 or 340 cuda or challenger, running or not. I am on a really tight budget, so I'm looking for someting 500 dollars or less in the 4 corners or wyoming/colorado regions.
Anybody? Bueller?

I thought so  Yeah they are still around, depends on what year.
Look for something close to home, that's the best bet; mostly so you can look at it up close.

Local papers still have deals, I've seen some.

Good luck

Yep. I'm just looking for a car to take back to stock. I don't plan on hot rooding it except for maybe a simple cylinder bore. I would be throwing every option the car had originally at it. So if it's a 74 w/a wheezy 318, lemme at it. It'll still look cool.

Even if it does happen to be a '73 with an original 318/904 combo, you could always find, let's say a 340, and drop that in place of the 318.  Then all you need to do is find a built 727 that would handle the near 500 hp 340 you plan to build.  Hey, this story sounds very familiar. ;D  Good luck with your searching.

Hey Crewcut.  I just went through all my favorites list and this was the only one I found under $5K.  The 256 area code is in Alabama and no pics either.  Not a lot to go on, but might be worth a call.
