trying to find car?

Im trying to find my 1st muscle car when i was 17,  its a 71 dodge demon 340.  I found my old build sheet with the vin on it. is there a way to track it down?

Registries & DMV may have records of it .

Could be tough to pull off. A title search may show its history, however, some states want to know why you want the info and if they don't feel it is a valid enough reason, they won't run the history for you.

If you don't get anywhere with the DMV, it's helpful to have a friend in law enforcement.
