I learned the hard way. Now I order, receive and inventory right away. Those little parts can kill ya. Glad ya found them. :2thumbs:
Isn't that the truth Mark. And thanks.  :2thumbs:

If anything, it showed that even for the smallest parts, members here step up to provide, which I have seen many many times.  :ylsuper:

NO E Body convertible ever left the factory with snaps for the convertible boot cover. Any E Bodies that you have seen with snaps have been added at some point in it's life. Pretty common actually. :2cents:

Thanks, good info! I'm gonna get new trim for mine, don't like them, and I never use the cover.

And sorry for hijacking the thread.

What is the correct name for the trim/molding with the snaps on, and whats the best place to get a new one? I have new chrome ends, that goes below the quarter window, they are called "convertible belt moldings".

From my understanding, the rest of the trim is called CONVERTIBLE BOOT WELL MOLDING TRIM.
There is a guy selling them on ebay. Seems like pretty good quality from the pics. Not sure if others sell them or not.
