GPS Speedo...
« on: August 20, 2014 - 02:39:04 PM »
Hi Guys,
I been reading about SpeedHut gauges.
They offer a GPS speedo that takes it's input from a satellite  and a gas gauge that is totally programmable so you can use your oem sender.
I was wondering if anyone has used these?

Thanks,
Mickm72

I've been considering these too. With my GM transmission and Mopar speedo I'm out about 10MPH.

I emailed them asking if they could match the stock gauges, font, and art work. They replied sure no problem custom work is $10 extra per gauge. Good deal I thought!  :2thumbs:  I have the standard gauges in a 70 Challenger. I know I'm one of the few that prefer them over the rally gauges...  :-[

Bart how do you go about "calibrating" the fuel gauge? :dunno:

well,  actually... that`s a pretty complicated operation.
you will need an empty tank.  press button when needle says empty.  fill tank. press button when needle says full.

Post pictures when you get them and will you be documenting the install? What gauges did you buy? I'm really interested in the dual gps speedo/tach gauge.

I have been wanting to pull the trigger on these for my 73 and I also have the standard dash

So, these GPS gauges can give you your speed via satellite..  Hmmmm...   Does that mean they can also record that data and send you a speeding ticket after the fact?  Hmmmm.....   :burnout:
