Question about the grill molding on a 72-74 challenger
« on: August 27, 2014 - 07:51:01 PM »

Has anyone ordered the grill molding for a 72-74 challenger?  Does this come as a chromed piece or does it have to be painted?

Next question, anyone have one of these they want to get rid of?  I am looking for one that is chromed

That piece is anodized aluminum.  I have a new one from Metro but never installed it.  My original one is still on the car.  I can't say how the new ones fit.  Just make sure to be careful with the original clips.  They aren't reproduced.

When i bought my car over 7 years ago, it didn't even have this trim. Do the new ones come with any clips?

Mine didn't.  I thought I read where someone found some clips that would work at R/T Specialties.  They weren't correct but they worked.  See if you can get ahold of Tom at R/T Specialties and ask him if he has anything that will work.
