Probably not the car I was thinking about. A friend named Kevin bought a Tawny Gold met. one around the same time for next to nothing, he still has it today....Actually for all I know, it could have been painted red by some one.....I'll ask him..

Red 1971 Hemi Cuda,

This Guy in Ajax with the pink house, was he a young blonde guy, and his father had some money. Were in Ajax did this guy live, do you remember what street or what exit off the 401. Could it of been nearer to the Brock Road cut off of the 401 in Pickering, Ontario. What year was this when you looked at this 1971 Hemi Cuda in Ajax.

Alan the first 1971 Hemi Cuda was Tawny Gold and was sold new to a person in Scarborough. I do not believe this car was ever painted another color. The Second 1971 Hemi Cuda was also Tawny Gold and sold new to a person that live in Fairport Beach, Ontario and this car has only had two colors on it, Tawny Gold and then black. Now for the other 9 1971 Hemi Cudas  sold new in Canada, I do not remember a Red 1971 Hemi Cuda sold new in that color. There was the white one in Guelph, two yellow in BC, Purple in Quebec, Lime in Quebec all I can remember without looking at some of my paper work. If it was a 1970 Hemi Cuda I can remember a couple of those sold in Ontario, Canada.

Just lifted the yellow one on the hoist today! And to my supprize this car was as nice undernieth as on top!when i got the cars i didnt relize how nice the paint was,its actually been watersanded and polished, theengine is a late 70 motor and it shines when i cleaned it!!!!  This car is worth all of 55000.00  im even thinking of raising the price?or keeping it?it had maybe 2 stone chipps total and they were filled!im going to fix the heater core and detail engine bay propperly, replace or paint the waterpump ( pealed) add a shroud, put  polished step rails with propper screws, windshield could use replaceing but has a quebec sticker? The guy i bought it off kept saying it was a nice car ,but i didnt listen to him? He wasnt just saying that it realy was close to a show car!

Why don't you post some pictures.  :picture:
It would have to be well documented, numbers matching and well optioned to sell for anything over $50K. :2cents:

Hey  Kevin do not forget the two Sassy grass 71 Hemi Cudas. An auto in Quebec and a 4 speed in BC.

As far as a red 71 in your area there was a clone in the area mentioned.

Recently there was an orange one but it was imported and the guy was asking well into the six figures.

I have seen both cars that are being discussed here. The orange car with the 440 needs quite a bit of help to clean up the body, paint and many other areas.
The yellow car is much nicer but no where near an OE restoration. Non numbers but a fairly decent body. Tag and sheet. The car was out of the states and painted in Quebec. As others have mentioned the asking price might be a little ambitious for the current market. It is an FY1 car.

The original poster has made it clear, it's by no means a fire sale....so maybe the market will return in time for him to get close to his asking prices. I personaly hope the market continues to climb as well. 1971 Cudas are still the hottest Mopar on the market :2cents:
