window adjustment

The back side of my drivers window is too far inside the car when Im rolling it up, how do I adjust the window to roll up further out?

Mine does that too right near the top. I'll be following this thread for inevitable wisdom of the experts

There should be a bolt under the door that moves the track in or out. You need to take the door panel off and you'll see the bracket that holds the track. If the cage nut isn't rusted in place you should be able to slide the bracket in or out once you loosen the bolt.

Bolt on the bottom as described by the other posts. But, don't be surprised if you have to loosen other bolts also. Keep in mind that very small changes will make a big difference. It can be done, but if you end up cussing everything known to mankind before you finish..... welcome to the club.

                      Adjusting windows can be very time consuming and frustrating. Often making one adjustment can effect another. Also worn parts can effect the overall procedure to where adjustment is beyond limits.  Best to pull the door panel, observe the glass as it moves, check for wear, make small adjustments, recheck. I always make sure a cold 6 pack in ice is close by for these critical operations.

Last winter I re-adjusted mine because it was totally screwed up. Spent all day working on it and while sitting in the car rolling the window up/down got it to where it rolled up perfectly and put everything back together !!    Next day opened the door and closed it and the window was too far inside.    Had to start all over.
