i just don't see any options

A different set of headers.  :dunno:  Those TTI's should be easy to sell.  You should be able to get most of your money back out of them.  TTI makes a shorty header.  That would give you the ground clearance you need.

has anyone here measured their clearance? how much do you have?
I'll measure mine for you tonight. I have the same .96 bars with a 440 in the nose and no problems on roads (probably changing to 1.1's this winter). Occasional issue with parking lot speed bumps though. I stay away from them.

Just a thought, but what about spacing the engine up a bit? You should be able to get a .25 to .38 spacer in the engine isolator pad bolts. If you get a .25 on the bolt on each side of the pad, there's your half inch. There should be adequate tunnel space for the transmission and and floor space for the headers, only wild card would be air cleaner to hood space.

With as far back as the collectors are, will that really gain much?  With a 1/2" of rise at the engine mounts, you might only gain 1/8" at the collectors.  Wouldn't you have to raise the back of the trans up too?  That would be easy to do.

I have 5 3/4" clearance at the collectors.  I'm running 255/50/17s on the front and 275/50/17s on the rear and have a nice stance IMHO.  I would take CP's advice and add a leaf to get your a$$ up and adjust your torsion bars up too and you will still have a nice stance.

I like the lowered look...even though it doesn't get track-driven

Wow, great stance. What are the wheel/tire/suspension specs? Would love a similar look, pm me if you'd like. Don't want to hijack the thread!

My collectors have 4" of clearance. The oil pan is at 5.25" and the k-member is at 6".
I'm thinking of dropping it just a bit more. Another 1/2" maybe.

2.5" to the collectors?!!!  :faint:

No wonder you're dragging. I'm surprised your suspension isn't constantly bottoming out, even with the .96" bars. My header flanges are at ~3.5" from the ground. I did raise them up from about 3" because I was dragging on speedbumps. I have Hooker Super Comps on mine (above the steering), and the TTI's should give you even more room than that. I have 1.12" torsion bars, Hotchkis UCA's, Bilstein RCD's, and reinforced stock LCA's with the small button style bump stops replacing the stockers. I run 275/40/17's on 17x9's all the way around, so my tires are only 25.6" tall. Rear springs are Mopar XHD's, they've sagged down so they're almost at zero arch.

I wouldn't sell the TTI's. You won't find anything out there that puts your headers any closer to the car than those. Maybe the shorty headers, but even those require some interesting head pipes to clear everything. Just raise the front of car up a 1/2" to 3/4". Even when I was at 3" the only thing I would usually drag on were speed bumps.

This picture shows my current ride height with ~3.5" to the collector flanges. Still a small rake to the car, just enough to know its not level or tail down.

Oh, and dfrazz-, that car of yours is gorgeous.  :2thumbs:

I am running 275/40-17 on the front and 315/35-17 on the rear. I am using Dr Diff spring relocation kit to get the spring clearance for the rear tires. Front is dropped with torsion rod adjustment and rear is dropped with blocks. Am running Hooker Super Comp Headers and the drivers tube that runs under the steering link rides very low but rarely bottoms out.

Thank you Blue!  I was initially going for the lowered look but also wanted bigger tires and I did not want to relocate the springs or tub out the wells.  I think both styles look great, but also be careful about bottoming out your car.

How much ground clearance do you have with that one tube?  The car's stance looks great!

I will have to check. It is low but I guess I may have got used to watching for dips and high spots in the road.
