Will do.   Car is not driving yet.  Get the exhaust system  and driveshaft this week.  then I will start the tuning of the megasquirt in a few weeks.

Still plugging away.   Exhaust and drive shaft are in Brakes almost done.
Made a cold air intake for it.
Cut and glued stryofoam






Cover it in fiberglass

It gets it's air from the opening to access the upper A arm.

Good luck with the Megasquirt setup. Have my MS3 now and have started the long slow wiring process.
Are you new to setting it up or seasoned?

Interesting idea on the air box. Those openings have been on my mental design radar for air inlets to the turbos.

Seems like a pretty small hole to draw all your air in from, not to mention being on the side in a wheel well. Sure it will run ok, just not real conducive to performance I wouldn't think.

X2 on that thought. One of the reasons I have not been able to talk myself into it.

Normal cruise would be OK but top end rpm.
Another option in my thoughts is to utilize the hood openings. They could be discreetly opened up a bit and then underside of hood sealed off to effectively make a plenum.

No bash just some thoughts...

Just food for thought, if that box shown in the picture extended to the radiator support and there was a large hole there you would better for the high end. I really like the box and the craftsmanship displayed building it.

Engine has started on megasquirt but I haven't driven or tuned it yet,  so I'm just a beginner.

Thanks for the advice on the size of the opening.  I agree it looks a little small, I might open it up or make a hole near the headlights.   I'm leaning towards the hole that is already there for the A arm access.

Not worried about it been in the wheel well, still cold air.    Not worried about ram air.

I have ram air on my plane, direct straight into the throttle body, no air filter  and I get +1.75 inches of mercury effect at 200 mph.  So on a car it won't make a difference.

That opening is probably as big as both the openings on a dual snorkle aircleaner, so it would be no worse than stock.

Well, that's good to here,   I'm going to try it that size and if it runs out of breath I'll open it up.
