Cool car and fantastic restoration Alan. Did Max do this one? Did anyone pick up on the interviewer? It's Steve Magnante and he's worked for most of the mainline hot rod magazines. He's also, a dyed in the wool Mopar guy and has a thing for altered wheelbase cars- to the point that he builds them for you if you want and can afford it. Nice to have good work recognized.

I just recently told him in an email that if he finds a 1971 V code Cuda project anywhere over here that I would gladly restore it for him. I think that would be a lot cheaper then restoring one over in Sweden
I also gave him a link to the last 71 V code Cuda that I restored, it's currently for sale again...

I have offered one blue 4 speed car to him, car is in Sweden and is one of 3 v codes. So yes, its easier to find one in US or Canada.. I think i have seen the car you owned recent for sale, but not sure its the same car..  But myself is looking for a 70 challenger U or V code also.

Yes thats the car i have seen, you did a very nice resto. Looks like the new owner added rubber bumpers and changed wheels?

Yes i have been talking to Dave, super nice car indeed.. but to be honest im not a real fan of the v02 roof and im looking for a car that is more "drivable" i already have a dust collector in the garage. It looks like Daves car is more of a trailer queen show winner, no fun to drive down the perfect finish on it. Actully surpriced that he hasnt sold the car yet..

Dave has $135K invested, they spen more on the paint job then I spend on most restos I agree...I wouln't want to drive it very far...more of a show poodle.

The green Cuda I restored is currently way over priced in my opinion....The owner paid roughly $120K for it....added wheels, bumpers and billboards and now wants to cash out on the car's great appearance.

I would really like to find a project for Tomas so I could bring another one back to life.
I do know of an EV2 auto in my area, but I doubt it's for sale. It would require a lot of work and it's not number's matching either Tomas has pretty high standards, I think he's happy with my Challenger

I dont think you have to worry about that, atleast he told me over the phone that he was very pleased with the challenger.  It was just a idle stop solenoid he wanted to swap out for an original since it stopped working.


Hard to find projects of good models.. Hopefully you have found one until the aar is done.

I would love to find another 71 Cuda...there is a stong market for them always...I hope my AAR will sell fast as well.
