73 Cuda battery tray

Ok, who can show me the definitive version of the 73 Cuda battery tray that a 340 would have had in it and the correct battery clamp please, there seems to be a lot of slightly different trays and clamps out there sold as suitable for a 73 Cuda.

Here is what the clamp should look like.  These are repop pieces but should be correct.  My original clamp/J-hooks and battery tray were rusted away.

Both looks awesome!   Very nice . . . but my 73 doesn't have a battery bracket like that . . unless it was changed back in the 70's prior to me buying it.

The earlier years didn't have a nut in the inner fender for that bracket.  Does your Cuda have that nut in the inner fender.  If it does, I think it would have originally had that bracket.  The earlier years just used the J-hooks and didn't tie the bracket in to the inner fender.

Yeah mine just has a J brackets and that seems to work fine . . . battery is secure.

My 73 has the nut on the fender so it uses the hold down bracket with the ear on it. If yours does not have the nut, then use the bracket without the ear. But I thought all 73s have it.

Is there a difference between cuda and challenger . . .

There shouldn't be a difference.  Look on your inner fender and see if there is a nut in that location.

Thanks everyone, my car does have that style of hold down that Burdar has, missing one of the J hooks, and the nut is not captive in the fender which I thought it would have been., What about the battery tray, has anyone got a pick of an original 73 Cuda battery tray please.

You owe me a beer; I pulled my batt and took this pic just for you. It is an original 73 Cuda tray; only thing done to it was blasted and painted.
You can see the captive nut in the inner fender for the hold down tab.

Thank you Sir, and yes I do owe you a beer, I very much appreciate the photograph, and of the captive nut. The hole is there for the captive nut on my car but it looks like its been drilled out or something wierd. Anyway, I will set about trying to get a good correct repop tray for my car now I have a good picture to go by.
