Cleaned and finished steering wheel parts
« on: September 11, 2014 - 12:18:26 PM »
Since I needed to remove the ignition key tumbler I took the opportunity to refinish some parts. Hope the pics are ok.

I used rattle can VHT epoxy semi gloss and gloss on the column parts. Used flat black on the wire cover, interior black lacquer on the steering wheel center pad and some kind of silver on the back of the spokes. I sanded(not bead blasted as my small cabinet is not set up right now) all surfaces and sprayed rust converter on anything that had had rust on it which was minimal. I have used these rust converters for over ten years and they work very well on everything I use them on.
