I may be wrong here but doesn't Steve Juliano own both the single 70 and single 71 hemi sunroof challengers?

You are correct - Here is the link to the Mopar Action Online article on the 70: http://www.moparaction.com/Article/THE_LAST_HURRAH/Last.html
It mentions that he owns both. I have seen a few references to Galen being a previous owner of the 70, but cannot be 100% sure on that.

Interesting. The car in the Mopar Action article is a Go-Mango Hemi RT Challenger - but with a J54 hood and a white interior. So, if there is only one Hemi RT Challenger with a sunroof, does that mean that this Go-Mango Hemi RT Challenger with a Shaker and a black interior is an imposter?? OR, are there possibly two? Hmmmm? :dunno:

RzeroB,
I am just guessing here - but I am betting the car was not initially restored to the tag sometime in the past. The Mango/Black top/White interior is an interesting combo - I can see someone preferring a black interior to match the top instead. Also, with the Hemi, who wouldn't want the shaker hood on that baby? Both of these variations are easily correctable if a new owner chooses, so there's no danger of seriously affecting the value of the car. Again - this is just speculation on my part. If anyone knows for sure - please chime in.
Scott.

I will did up the tag on the 1970 Hemi Challenger Sun Roof car that Steve J. owns. Galen was involve in the sale of the car to Steve J.  The 1971 Hemi Challenger Sun Roof car that Steve J. owns was bought from Walter Downer. The 1971 Hemi Challenger Sun Roof car was built for a Hockey Player that played for the Wings and worked for Chrysler with other sports personal. He was later trade to the Blues. This Hockey Player told me that when he was putting the miles on a 440-6 Charger that Chrysler asked him what car he wanted next. He told them a Challenger with a Hemi. The rest Chrysler put on the car, everything  but the wing on the trunk lid that was put on at the dealership when one trunk lid with a wing was taken off one Challenger and put on the Sun Roof Challenger. These are the only two HEMI SunRoof Challenger known to off been built. The 1970 Hemi Challenger that has a Shaker is likely not a Shaker Car. There are only around 19 1970 Hemi Challenger with Shakers. There were almost twice as many 1971 Hemi Challengers build with shakers than what was produced in 1970 on a Hemi Challenger. This was because Chrysler stop making the Shaker Hood Available for most of the 1970 Production year.

So the Shaker black interior car must be a clone? Interesting. Still looks nice though.

Here is a pic of the '71 Hemi Chally.

This must be Steve J's garage?

BTW, the wide moulding on the front of the fenders and hood - what would that be coded out as on the FT? "A46?" "M28?" Something else? Curious.

Yes you got it. That is my cuda backed up to it. Your boys were looking for an engine if I remember correctly. Are they or you still? Might be able to help you out.

Bump - Have added the 1970 sunroof Challengers pamphlet to the initial post. I will update these pamphlets periodically as new sunroof cars come to light. If you would like to add a sunroof Challenger/Barracuda that is not posted here - just send me a PM and we will get'er dun.
Thanks,
Scott.

I have a 1971 challenger 340 R/T 4 speed with a sunroof in GK6.... I have owned a 1971 318 base challenger, a 1971 convertible with a 318 / 4Speed,  and now the sunroof R/T. All fun  cars, but the sunroof car is even rarer than the convertible!

My dad has a 70 sunroof car project that's been on the back burner for years. It's pretty much just a shell at this point, but I can get some pictures if interested.
