Retractable Shoulder Belts ?
« on: September 11, 2014 - 09:34:57 PM »
What are my options for adding front retractable shoulder belts in a Cuda ? I found one set on EBay, but it looks totally GM :puke:
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

https://www.gotbelts.com  I just put these in my car.  Seem to work fine.  Not very expensive.  Use the stock mount bolts on the floor.  I had to drill one attachment a hair bigger, but I don't think it will be a problem.  Order one mount kit for both front belts to attach the shoulder mount.  It was very easy and quick to do.  I think there are multiple types of belt to get the look you want.  I did the chrome lift belts.  Although it doesn't match the rears, they still look good.

I put the gotbelts in my Cuda as well and they work excellent! :iagree:
My wife says they come across her neck to high but I find them to be a good fit.
Cheers!

I have 74 E-Body shoulder belts in mine. Came that way when I bought it.

:iagree: I pulled the shoulder belts from my last parts car, a 74 Rallye.

Here is a quasi- related question.

Can you restore the seatbelt mechanisim? my front seatbelts work but in order to make the drivers side go back in you need to do that pull a bit and feed it back in dance for the last foot or so of the belt.

My rear seatbelts are super fussy too, they only work when they feel like it.
