Roseville Moparts shipping charges?
« on: September 13, 2014 - 04:49:38 PM »
I get a little frustrated using the big 2 parts houses (CI is perpetually out of stock on what I need at any given time, and YO has the worst pics and descriptions), so I try to use the smaller places when I can. Just made my first order from Roseville, 4 window guide rollers, and the shipping charges we as much as the parts ($24.95). I need these pretty badly, and didn't find exactly what I was wanting anywhere else, but seriously? $25 bucks for shipping a few ounces of parts? Seems a little high.

Guess that's the price you pay when you're in need though.

On the several items I ordered from them, shpg charges were pretty normal.

:clueless: small usps flat rate box is like 5 bucks, maybe it was a mistake.  :dunno: I would call and ask.  :2cents:

If it had been regulators, or something large, then no big deal, but what can 4 rollers weigh? Not even a half pound. On the plus side, I do like the selection of things they have available. Hopefully there's a good explanation for the exorbitant charges.

I sent a set of old school M/T RB valve covers to Canada for not much more than that. There's no way those charges can be correct, and if they are, it will surely be my last order from them. I sent them a message through their website, hopefully there's something that can be done.

Roseville has gone above and beyond to find the best  shipping rate to get stuff to Puerto Rico for me. The last big order I did they spent about a week shopping to get me the 400 per pallet rate  that they did. The first price they found was 1500 bucks. They've also called around to find me bits that aren't being repopped when I can't find them myself

I think it must be a mistake as well.  $25 dollars to ship 1/2 pound??  Where are you located?   :clueless:  I order alot from them but I'm lucky enough to be able to drive there and pick up my parts.

Keller, Texas. Shouldn't be nearly that much. Even USPS could get it here cheaper than that.

Got an email from Jonathan, and then a phone call as well. Looks like they're having a couple of issues with the website ordering. The shipping calculator is all out of whack (turned out to be $6.00 instead of $24.00), and it didn't record my CC info for the payment. Good bunch of guys up there for sure, we got everything worked out. They were out of stock on the window rollers, so they're having them drop shipped from the manufacturer. Will definitely be doing more business with them!

Yes, their shipping calculator is messed up on the website and has been for quite awhile. But its corrected when they do ship

Thank you All for chiming in, And yes, the postal and UPs calculator is jacked up. We have over 5200 items listed and each one has to be gone through manually. This is and has been an ongoing issue. Yes it is frustrating when placing an order and all you see is shipping 2 4 or 8 times of what it should be, I would say WTF also. Thank you for your patience as we work though getting this corrected. This is also another reason why we process all web orders manually. Unlike the other Big resto places that auto charge once you place the order.

Thank you again, David.
