Ive been restoring cars since 1989. Not a biz mind you, just for me. GM, Dodge, Ford, Plymouth, HD, you name it
Remember, most of the repop parts out there are made by the same manufactorer, but sold under or thru MANY dif vendors. And these vendors charge different prices. The trick is too find out which vendor not only has the best price, but who sells the best quality parts.
Another example: Manufactorer A, B and C makes e body interior door panels: "A" makes the best quality, B and C had historical fitment probs.
Now take Vendor A, B and C. Vendor C had the best price, A and B progressivley more expensive
But you don't know which vendor carries the best QUALITY door panel. Highest price may not equal the best quality part
So all you can do is compare prices as well as reputation of the manufactorer: But a warning; half the time you wont know who actually made the part to begin with, only the vendors name that sells it for them
