1970 Plymouth Cuda 340 4-speed (Sold)

 I have decided to sell my 1970 tora red 340 pistol grip 4-speed Cuda. It has a date correct 340 engine not numbers matching with X heads, hipo exhaust manifolds, AVS carburetor, date coded plug wires, complete accurate exhaust w/stainless tips. Engine was completely rebuilt, turned and polished crank, new pistons. Heads have new valve guides, seats, and springs. Body has new quarter skins, outer wheel houses, lower quarter to trunk extensions, trunk pan, and inner front fenders. Body was blasted, then primed and painted with all PPG products. Has dual painted outside mirrors, hood pins, correct no crush zone 70 only hood. Black interior has nice original interior panels with new dash pad not cover, rally cluster all gauges work, correct AM/FM thumbwheel radio works, road lamp switch, legendary seat covers with new foam in bucket seats. Dual horns, 3 core radiator, restored 3-speed wiper motor, road lamps. It has the 8 3/4 rear end with 489 3.23 sure grip rear end wheel vintiques 15X8 rear and 15X7 front rallyes with 275 60 15 rear 235 60 15 front tires, with power disc brakes, rebuilt by steer & gear power steering box. New espo rear springs and has front spring boxes welded in for moving springs in to fit bigger tires on the back but are not being used and it was done before I bought it. The list goes on with many more items. I know of no items that do not work on the car.  Wife said we need $49,000 or we will just keep it. I have lowered the price to $43,000. Great looking Cuda but a long ways from $50k.  Your wife is right about you will be keeping it for a while.

Average sale: $28K - $33K
Longer then avearge sale: $34K - $39K
May take for ever sale $40K - $50K

Try EBay with a $49K reserve and see where it goes. If there are real bids on the car, that will pretty quickly determine what the general public is will to pay for the car.

I think you are right. I really don't care if I sell the car or not but it needs to be go to a home that will drive it and enjoy the car. I just never thought I would not have enough time for all my mopar cars.

I can't buy it, but I'd be more than happy to have it at my home for it to be driven and enjoyed!!

She's a beauty! I am in the exact same spot with my 70 Superbee. It's a fantastic car but I'm bored with it and don't enjoy driving it as much as I should. I'm getting it ready to sell mine as well and sink the money into my Challenger project.  Like you, I don't want to give my car away for too little since it costs me nothing to keep it but I keep hoping to find the right person who will appreciate it.

49k might be a tough price for most buyers but I can see from the photos you put a lot of money and love into the car. In So. Cal, I could see your car selling at about 40k.

It is a real BS23H code Cuda. The fender tag was rusted bad and I had one made for the car but it is not the original tag.

The folks here are correct in the pricing. A restored numbers matching 70 Cuda 340 4 speed just sold on eBay for $32,500 a week ago. Very similar to yours, option wise. Yours is a gorgeous car as well with attention to detail. I've been looking for a long time for a 340, 4 speed 70 Cuda. They're tough to find but that's the price range they're in, if your serious about selling. My 2 cents as new kid on the block.

I'm a member on quite a few car related internet forums. This has to be one of the only ones that allows other people to post on some ones classified add. And the one reason I wont list my 70 Cuda on here when I decide to sell it. The way I see it is, if you don't like the price, or even if you love the car or the deal, keep on kick'n tires and don't post on the add. Too bad that's not how it works on here...And here's and instance where the guy's FIRST post is on someone's classified add. The only people that knock prices are the ones looking to buy. And MOST people looking to buy a finished turn key car have never restored a car from the ground up. Pay a body shop to build a car like this one, you'll be in deeper than the asking price...Here's my two cents- raise the price back up where you had it!
