I picked up one of the Challenger fiberglass spoilers from Jon that Brad and Mitch are talking about.  I got one w/ the ducting cutouts.  It's a nice piece - gray gelcoat and what looks like chopped strand mat.  Like all fiberglass parts, it will need to be fitted.  It is from a mold so there is a chance that there will be defects in the gelcoat that will need to be addressed if you are concerned about the spoiler looking cosmetically perfect.

This is what Jon said when I asked him about the installation:

Hey Jerry - The Challenger spoiler is the easier of the two to line up and install. The spoiler fits into place with the parking lamp bulge.

The top of the spoiler should be right below the lower air intake opening on the valance. An extra set of hands helps.

Most people have used nuts and bolts while others have used quick turn fasteners to secure the spoiler. Start with the outside bolts first.

If you plan to put a decal on it - for a level fit and trust me on this - measure from the bottom letters of the decal to the bottom of the spoiler.

Enjoy and send me a pic sometime and tell others about them. I have only a few left and that's it for a few years. - Jon

Here's a pic, not mine but one Jon sent to me

Thanks for the info. I sent him an e-mail, I'll see when he responds back if he even has anymore left. Just curious, what are the dimensions in terms of width and height of the spoiler? If he doesn't have any, I may go down the road of fiberglassing my own in a similar size but with the bottom corners rounded a bit.

Thanks! And possibly a picture of the backside so I can get an idea how it mounts?

The only issue I have with the pre-molded air ducts is that you'll have to find something that matches very closely... I prefer to eventually make my own air ducts for brake ducts, per whatever ducting I eventually determine to use.

On the otherhand, a pro-SCCA friend of mine who also bought one of Jon's Challenger spoilers with me (for his own street Challenger), said that the spoilers WITH his molded ducts are physically and materially stronger vs. the same spoiler without the pre-molded ducts.

I've purhcased another front valence panel that I'll be mounting Jon's full-width Challenger spoiler onto... hopefully before this coming summer... then I'll post pics.
Autocross/road racers go in deeper... and come out harder!

See  MOPAR ACTION MAGAZINE, AUGUST 2006 ISSUE for featured article and details on my autocross T/A.

Don't shoot me but....I've read a few threads on here about a front camaro spoiler on challengers/cudas and thinking of trying that out. Looking at the 69 model that is 51" by 4" and the countour looks real close. They are cheap as dirt, made of ABS and I can get one shipped to my house for $35 bucks. Figuring I could hit it with a heat gun and reshape to my needs. Anyone have any pictures of this done?

Shawge - do you have a measurement on the overall length of the spoiler?

Yes,  it's a little over 61" at the widest point.  It tapers down some as it goes towards the ground.  I don't have a pic of that measurement but I can take one if it'd help.

The ABS aspect is appealing as is the price.  The only problem I see with the Camaro spoiler are the turn signal features under a Challenger. At 51", the Camaro spoiler ends will sit about center to the turn signals. Now, under a Cuda with the smoother valance, it may bolt right up.

Yea, I think I'm going to got the ABS route. It's so easily mold-able and modified with a heat gun if you have patience.

So I found out the top picture of the 72-74 challenger is not a Spoilers by Randy, it is custom. I spoke with Spoilers by Randy and they do not have any pictures of the PS1-C2 installed on a challenger. The only picture of a PS1-C2 that I can find is on Tom's build page that's linked above. It looks good but I'm looking for a spoiler that's a bit bigger and runs the whole width of the front valance, one that resembles the dimensions of this on on this cuda:

Am I looking at going custom? Anyone know of any other aftermarket options?

I know this is an older thread but this looks like a mustang spoiler.

Yea, I agree. After looking into it further looks like off a 69. Also, I believe that pic is photoshopped.

Regardless, I'm running a 68 camaro spoiler and it fits well after hitting it with a heat gun. Also only cost like 20 bucks, gotta love chevy prices
