Opinions on stance please
« on: September 20, 2014 - 06:56:53 PM »
My car is the black one and the red one isn't. The two cars have a different rake. I'm thinking of leaving my front end where it is and raising the back about an inch. Your thoughts please. Comments on the red one would also be appreciated.

On yours, I love the stance.  :2thumbs:
Maybe an inch might be better. Try jacking the rear end an inch and post a pic.
What size rear tires you have?
I like it.  :ylsuper:

The red one looks good but compared to yours, I like the size of tires you have better.

On the red one the front is too high IMO? If he lowered the torsion bars some it might make the rear look too high maybe?  :dunno:
Red one also looks to have bigger  rear rubber than yours? Maybe a 275 tire on yours would do what you wanted?

I have 215 fronts and 255 rears, both 15". Doug has 235 rears - 15" but 14" on the front, not sure what size. I agree the front is too high on Doug's and he thinks so too. I want to raise the back of mine so the top of the wheel well opening is just below the top of the tire. I think it cuts off too much of the tire the way it is now.

I would leave it as is. If you want more rake, drop the nose some more.

The red one is trying to look like a gasser? It's handling must be, well.... a handful!

I like the stance on yours, but if anything raise the rear just an 1" or so.  Your tires fill the wheel well perfectly.  The red one needs bigger tires, maybe bigger wheels, a front end adjustment down and possibly and the rear up an 1" too.  Are you just thinking of re-arcing your springs?

Ya I thought I would get them re-arced. That way the final product should be exactly what I want. It'll be a winter project.
