Clutch fork

Have a question about the clutch in my -67 Cuda, when I look from underneath of my bellhousing it seems as the cluth fork passes the center of the inputshaft (tranny) with approx.1/4".I`m worried that this will cause damage to the clutch release bearing.Have any of you guys ever noticed same thing.Or is`t just as simple as a wrong clutch fork?

Hey CP,the clutch fork that I`ve is 12 1/2" .Now ,for what I
understand that one`s for smallblock engine, and I`ve got a bigblock in my A-body.At Mopars web site I can find two different forks,12 1/2" and 10 3/4".Do you know if there exists any other lenghts on forks,or do you think the 10 3/4" will fit?
