If you put speakers in the kick panels, do you still use the dash speakers?  I have a 3 speaker dash, and am getting ready to rebuilt it.  Do most of you leave the speakers out?
Will of course be installing 2 in the package tray.
Radio will be after market.

My thoughts on that is . . . The more speakers the better!   :bananasmi

More the merrier lol let the deck run the 3 dash speakers, and get a good 4 channel Amp to run your kick panel speakers and 6x9s in the package tray, at least that's what I did :). And I have a briged 2 channel running a single  (infinity) 10 in the trunk, sounds awesome at any volume

I'd wire the dash speakers through a crossover as tweeters so you can control balance/volume, consider a component system.

OK,  Looks like I'll replace the speakers there.
More questions later as I figure out have components to buy.

Thanks,

If you want to get complicated, you can run all 5 speakers from a 5 or 6 channel digital signal processor and not have to worry about how it is wired to the head unit or amp.

Sound deadener wil also help. The more speakers, the better. Make sure you have amps to run them.
