Cuda Door Belt Molding Metal Clips
« on: September 29, 2014 - 03:09:28 PM »
Anyone have a couple of the metal clips that go on the ends of the belt moldings? The 71-74 fit I bought only came with the plastic parts.

My kit came with all plastic clips too. Do you have a pic of the metal ones that you are looking for?

Mine has studs across the top of the door that the plastic pieces clip to. The last spot towards the rear of the door has a hole for a metal bolt like clip. I have a picture at work. The think they are same as the vinyl top trim ones. I will try and post a pic tomorrow.

The ones shown in this picture will work, it's what most kits include now, but they are not the same as originals.
You need to trim the stud after you tighten the nut :2cents:

My '72 clips are all held on by welded studs too. Probably to stop the early rust issues caused by drilled holes like the front and rear windshields used. The metal ones in Alan's pic look like all of the trim hardware that was used on my '70 Challengers front hood and quarter and trunk's trim hardware.

Yeah I'm pretty sure I bought them at Napa years ago but I couldn't seem to find them online.  I will go in person this weekend and find something to work.
