Tf 2 kit installed and no workie?
« on: October 05, 2014 - 04:52:44 PM »
Installed a tf2 kit in my BB 727 and I have reverse and first but slips in second and third. I did all the mods in the kit  and rechecked all over and over before I buttoned it up. throttle linkage adjusted ,bands adjusted per instruction, fluid is spot on. I have first and reverse but don't feel a shift out of first and then just slippage. it also seems that it takes a few seconds for first to recover from slipping. can anyone suggest what I should be looking for when I tear it down again? I suspect the govener plugs or the orfice plug in the case.I also adjusted the line pressure screw 3 turns ccw. Thanks!

Did the trans work OK before? Does it slip in low gear too, or just 2nd & 3rd?

trans worked ok but shifted early no matter the kickdown adjustment.also had a little bit of harsh engagement in reverse. it was a rebuilt with about a thousand miles on it.it dose not slip in first gear or reverse.I noticed the valve body LP screw was adjusted a lot farther in from stock setting or from The 3 turns in I set it to. Thanks!

Any chance you put the orifice cup plug in the wrong hole?  Also, the TF2 kit comes with modified springs for the pressure regulator valve with specific adjustment instructions. Any chance you missed something there?
