Okay so I narrowed it down to (3) options.
1. Hughes 2200-2500 stall
2. B&M 2300-2500 stall
3. TCI (It's called the Breakaway close to the above stall)
Hughes and B&M close in price where TCI is $80.00 more.
Is there one preferred over the other for my re-build? Or maybe I'm missing a secret weapon.
Thanks for any help.
IMO, a custom tailored converter is well worth the money and worth investigating.
I had an off the shelf converter that worked okay with my 318. I was told and told to go with something custom and I finally caved.
I went to a 9.5" Dynamic that was tweaked to my setup and the car was dramatically different, completely woke up the car. It also cruised at similar to stock RPM when not under load and would flash to 3600rpm or so when I pinned it.
A converter can make or break a setup, take a look into a custom tweaked converter for your car... I don't think you'll be disappointed.
