Just a quick thought, would it be possible to have the emoticons be shown after clicking a button or link to view them? Rather than have them show up by default when posting and or replying to threads.
They seem to be lagging up the reply/post topic page, quite badly for me. Outside that I have no problems browsing the site as speed or loading pages go.
