Saw this today... it's been a topic here before (quite a while ago), but worth re-posting with a pic...  makes you wonder what treasures are still lurking in barns up there in Cedar Rapids!

First Avenue Plymouth in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. May 1970.

This was the single largest AAR 'Cuda shipment to one dealer, ever. They hauled in and dropped off 28 AAR 'Cudas that day. Chrysler produced 2,724 AAR 'Cudas and were overstocked. A deal was made with First Avenue to take some at special pricing. The actual number that First Avenue took from this lot was 50, with these 28 pulling in at the same time. First Avenue Plymouth would be like the Plymouth counterpart of Mr. Norm's Grand Spaulding Dodge, specializing in high performance cars. It's said that at any given time they had an inventory of 100 to 150 Road Runners alone. It's also said that they didn't drop below 3 Hemi 'Cudas in stock for as long as they were available.

The carriers almost look like a rainbow with all those colorful AARs loaded up on them!!

Trying to make out what the signs hanging on the carriers say? What's that one up by the cab? Does it say "Avenge Plymouth"?

I love that picture with all the AAR's.  What really cracks me up is the lone Superbird in the background.  It almost looks like it is doing a photobomb.
