Wheels.. Any photoshop folks out there??
« on: October 30, 2014 - 12:08:57 PM »
Can anyone photoshop black wheels on this pic so I can look at them on the car?  Thanks in advance...   :2thumbs:

I could do it, but unfortunately I'm visiting my Dad in Arkansas.  If you don't get someone to do it before I get back next week, I'll do it.

Thanks...  I am thinking of maybe going with similarly styled wheels but in a matte black finish....

Sounds cool.  Glad to do a picture for you.  If you want to get really creative you could try that black stuff you can paint on there and peel off if you dont like it.  I've seen bumpers and trim done that way and it looked pretty good.

ToxicWolf is talking about plastidip, stuff is awesome and sold at most home improvement stores and auto parts stores. I've used it on my chrome trim to see how it looked, removed without an issue. Comes off in big sheets, similar to vinyl wrapping but in a can.

Here's a quick photoshop of your car with black steelies, I pulled them off my 73 challenger:

It's small because of the image you uploaded being low resolution, if you want a bigger photo, upload another and I'll re-do if for you

Ken, go down to the local hardware store, grab a can of spray on plastidip in black, spray your wheels, leave it on there fore a few weeks to see if it grows on you, then just peel it off.

is it really less than $6 a can in the US???  Here in Canada, it is $20 a can....I think I will have to pick some up the next time I am in the states!!!

If you do use plastidip, use 4-5 coats. The more coats, the easier it will come off in sheets because it will be thicker. If you put 1-2 it may only come off in small pieces and you'll hate yourself for it, trust me.

Ken, hope you are just thinking about the black wheels and not the wing! :scared:

Who does this kind of stuff to a car? :eek4:
