Long time fan first time owner
« on: October 31, 2014 - 07:36:24 PM »
Hello everyone,

I just bought my first classic car today!  It's a 1967 Barracuda, with a 273 V8 Commando.

I'll be completely honest, I can change the oil, air filter, and check the other fluids.  That's it.  I'm here to learn how to maintain the car, and to find people that know what they're doing beyond my "skill" level.

I bought the car from my Uncle, who got it from my Grandfather when he passed away.  My Uncle restored the car to where it is now, but I know there's always something that could be done.  Right now, I know the car is having transmission issues, but I haven't been able to identify exactly what the problem is.

Welcome to the site. The car looks good. Lots of knowledge here so feel free to ask questions. People are more than willing to help. Just a note, this is an E-body site and your car is an A-body. Be sure to sign in to an A-body site if you haven't.

Thanks for the compliments!  These pics are pre wash. So I'll put up more when it's clean-er.

I'm in VA, specifically Norfolk.  So if anyone can recommend a transmission guy in the area; that would be most helpful.

Well then maybe I'm wrong but all the Cuda talk seems to be the 70-74 models. Welcome just the same.

Welcome to the site and nice car! Perhaps if you told us if it was a stick or auto, that would start the ball rolling. What's the problem?
