Mine were done at Tri-City Plating in Tennessee.  They turned out decent.  It cost about $375 per bumper and $60 for each bumper guard.  If you want perfect chrome for a show car, AIH Chrome in Dubuque Iowa does great work.  Their quote for a Challenger bumper was over $600 each.  I had them rechrome my original antenna bezel since the repop didn't fit.  Just the bezel cost me $50 at AIH.  It looks great though.

A friend just had 67 GTX bumpers done at Tri-City, they came back very nice. I have used Brown's Plating in Paducah, Ky many times and the work was always flawless.

I paid 300 each to have mine re chromed.

The Chinese repop bumper chrome doesn't hold up or last long.

You'll soon discover looking at bumpers at car shows who has OEM's and who has re-pops.

Re pop bumpers tend to have waves.

Original factory bumpers also have waves. The factory chrome was very thin and cheap. We are just used to seeing show quality chrome.
Keystone bumpers are made in China but are chrome plated in Wisconsin.

My factory bumper sat outside for years and years and never rusted on the chrome side.
Yet the Chinese one front started getting rust only sitting outside for 3 years.   :dunno:

Years ago I worked for a local bumper straightening/replating company. This was the days before aftermarket when bumpers were steel/chrome and bent and twisted ones were straightened and replated. The key here is .... nickel primarily. aft mrkt $#!t is just that. Around here they're so easy to spot......... I've seen them starting to rust after one Wisconsin winter (lots of salt here!). That is your lesson for today...

Good input Chris but on a classic that never gets winter driven and never exposed to salt will we really notice a difference? I'm thinking of replacing my bumpers this winter. I want a quality result and don't want it looking shabby in 5-10 years. So is rechroming better than a repro bumper? One guy told me the repro ones are a lot lighter. Any truth?

The keystones i got from Roseville 2 or 3 years ago show no sign of any blemish yet.  :2cents:
As you suggest though, the only water they ever see is when I wash it, and it never sees salt.

In my part of Ontario Canada you can not get a Cuda bumper re-chromed for much less then $800 EACH thanks to government regulations.... :stomp:
I tend to use a lot of the Keystone reproduction bumpers on my cars and my customer's cars. :2thumbs:

hehehehehehehe my lord I hate to tell you guys this.  ::) Back in the "day" we had our plating done by 2 different companies.... Northstar out of Minnesota and Keystone out of Chicago ( keep in mind now, I'm going back about 40 years). Preferred customers or ones willing to pay just a little more............. got the Northstar! You could see a difference in the color of the chrome when laid side by side. I was told, it's the nickel....  :grinyes:   I also know Keystone is now owned by LKQ, lord knows where things have gone over the last 40 years...............
