The two black plugs on the left side of your thermostate are for heater hose (large one) and the other is for your temp gauge. Hole on right side gets plugged. Although it doesn't look to be tapped but should be.

Yes, the only problem is they are way too small. I believe the heater hose is 5/8 diameter and there is no way a fitting that big is going in 1/4 NPT hole. Once I confirm the hose barb size I will make the hole bigger and re tap it.

I think Yellowthumper is saying the one heater hose goes in the intake, the other goes in the water pump. The 1/4 NPT is for a temp gauge or another sensor accessory.

The two black plugs he referenced are way to small. the only hole that is large enough is on the driver side of the intake.  that would make for a strange hose routing. plus I plan on using the driver side one for the EFI temp sensor. I will just modify the larger of the tow holes on the passenger side for the intake heater hose.

 :droolingbounce: i got my March kit in and it looks frikin sweet. with my heads i need one different spacer for the back of the a/c compressor but other than that installation took about 1 1/2 hours start to finish.

The fittings on the left side of your picture should be 1/8 npt. It is the small one that should be for original temp sender.
The larger one would normally be 3/8 npt for the hose barb. If it is smaller then yes you will have to open it up. I had a similar issue on my conversion. I added an additional one for EFI temp sensor. Page 6. I used thick bearing grease on my taps to retain the chips. Then used a small rubber hose just taped to the end of my shop vac to suck up what fell. Not perfectly clean but it is only a water chamber.

Well the parts fairy dropped by again, all my ignition and fuel system showed up. almost ready to fire it up

finished a couple of projects got the intake straightened out and the fuel pump installed  in the tank. it was not too difficult i just bent the pipe on the sending unit so the gauge would clear the baffle. the only down side is when the gauge reads empty i figure the tank will still have about 2 gals in it due to where i repositioned it.

No, but that is the beauty of  the aeromotive setup. it has a foam tube "wall" that sits in a sump like cup to prevent they pump sucking air. and the pump itself sit inside of that. It is really quite ingenious. the hard part is getting the measurement right so the sock rests on the bottom. :working:

The motor is complete and oil pump primed. So i started building my run stand and almost have the wiring finished. as soon as i get my new polylock mounts and brackets, my wire looms i will drop her on the stand and fire it up.  Yes, after break in it is going on the dyno.  I wanted to do the break in myself and let the MSD system get a little tune time before getting it on the dyno.  the wiring looks like crap but i am leaving everything full length so i can cut to length and solder everything once it is in the car.

it was pricey but I love the way it looks.  I really like the billet specialties one as well but the March was powder coated son no polishing required. That was the final decision factor

Ok guys, I got the engine on the run stand the first fire went almost flawless.  Filled it with water and tried to do the break in. She runs for about 10 min and just gets hotter and hotter. I keep shutting it down at 210 I don't want to burn it up. 4 core champion radiator  dual electric fans and shroud,  plus I put a box fan in front. I just cannot keep it cool. Timing is set 11 degreen at start and it seems to like it. Not sure why it so hot but getting kinda worried.  Any suggestions.  Yes I will post a video as soon as I figure out how.
