Ok, still over heating. played with the timing some more the coolant is circulating fine. Thinking of trying a colder thermostat. Right now I am running a 180. Going to pick up a 160 and try again.  :pullinghair: :working:

I just got done messn' around with thermostats. 160*hi flo.  ,180*    Went back to 160*    When you pull the thermostat,Carefully fill up the rad. until the coolant level comes up to where it will actually touch the thermostat but not overflow.  This eliminates air pockets.   I found that the one-sided self adhesive gaskets at most auto parts stores don't work well.  yea I use forma gasket.   I like the blue ones with no adhesive.    :2cents:   R/T

or you could drill a 1/8" hole in the tstat, although this method does take longer for the air to work out.

   :bananasmi :bananasmi  So i installed the Fans and ran a full 30 min with no temp over 218 then she settled down to around 205 and idles at 195 at 3000rpm a nice 208. that was running for a while at that rpm. I am so relieved, oil pressure, A/F looked awesome. MSD has out done themselves with their system.  the idls want to be around 750 800 or it trys to flip my engine stand it sounds like a frikin animal.  :woohoo: :woohoo: Thanks for all the help now time to throw on the new TTI headers and let her run some more!! :working:

:cooldancing: Well got the new headers on, new intake gasket fired it up and holy sh@$! It is a totally different engine and sound.  Ran it for a while and decided to rewire for the msd fuel system to take over timing control and she runs like a monster sized swiss watch. I am in love with this thing. It is officially time for the dyno!!!  :ylsuper: :bananasmi

i forgot to post this but i ordered a few of the gauges I needed to use on the run stand. So I test fitted them in the gauge cluster I made. I am slowly buying them cause there 200 a piece, but i think they are looking pretty bad@$$. yes i will need a dimmer. :droolingbounce:
