:wavingflag:   :woohoo:  It is a beautiful day the parts fairy arrived today. My baby got a new pair of shoes and they fit perfectly!! it is good to see her sitting on the ground again. Too bad I have to tear the bottom out again when the four link rear suspension gets here.  :crying:

:wavingflag: :clueless: :clueless: Well got the fenders bolted up to start working the door to fender gaps and I believe I am officially in over my head. the fenders sit too high in the rear and the body lines do not match up and the contour of the top fender edge is not even close.  as far as the fender sitting to high I have two theories 1. cut the holes for the bottom edge of the fender and stretch it down into position or 2. try to reshape the top bend where it bolts to the inner fender well. As far as the giant gaps I plan to weld a bead down the back edge of the fender to fill the gap but as far as the contour and height I am kinda lost. PLEASE at this point I am looking for pointers before I hack up some new parts and screw it up!  :feedback: :feedback: :feedback: :clueless: :1zhelp:

So what you are saying is cut the top of the inner fender down? I am not sure what you mean?

:wavingflag: :thinkerg: Well I have discovered that I was miss two "L" brackets under the fenders and that is why they will not line up right. So new ones on the way from amd!......more to follow!

What make are the fenders?  I would be more concerned about the lack of contour at the top of the fenders, that can not be adjusted.

:wavingflag: Well I got my new brackets got them put in and they pulled right into place.  As far as the curvature it was a bit off. the fenders are Goodmark but a little bit of dolley work and they match up nice.  I will post some new pic tomorrow.  Thanks for all the help and suggestions, y'all are awesome!!! :2thumbs:

:wavingflag: Well raining like crazy so body work is out. Decided to finish my engine relay control setup, I think it came out ok. then got bored so strted the mockup for my custom gauge panel.  I plan on using autometer cobalt gauges. I know I know they are not even close to original but I love the way they look at night, besides it is a resto mod and you should love what you drive.  And after what I have heard about aftermarket cluster panels I am going to try to mold my own, it should be an interesting challenge. I got the layout down now time to start making the mold. the real paim is going to be the recesses.    :woo:

:wavingflag: Thanks, I plan on mounting it on the inner fender vertically where the battery box would go. And the batt is getting trunk mounted.  :working:
