I have no idea why anyone would do this but that is some awesome work.

Kinda sums up my thoughts too.

Because Dave wants to. Good enough reason I guess.

Yes, the car is certainly turning out really, really nice.  I can't wait to see what it is like when it finally gets some color!  If the interior panels are anything like the rest of how the car is turning out, those too, will be a work of art!

Thinking about the progression of this car, one thing I find odd is that on the old thread that Dave had, there was a certain loud mouth know it all who was bashing the car left and right about the controversy of the roof line.  This member has yet to come back on here and post his thoughts about the progression of the car.

:o    so, what`s this then.. a new invitation to start a riot on here again...?    :P

I was the first to mention the roof line in the old thread,  got answers to my questions and decided to shut up until the build was done,  but when another member commented the roof line ,it all blew up and he was basicly told to be out of his mind and what not... I bit my lower lip to keep my mouth shut then.

Looks like the lines are final now the car is in the booth.  As I said before,  I love it when someone takes on a build like this, and I really appreciate all craftsmanship that went into it , but the roof sucks.

Dutch, I was not referring to you.

You have to admit, it would be extremely difficult to have a 2 Door Roof line on a 4 Door Car.  What Dave & Steve has built looks a lot like what the Factory would have done IF they offered a 4 Door Barracuda.

You sound almost disappointed that there isn't any big controversy here.  Don't instigate it.

I'm not disappointed at all.     Its just sad that this forum didn't get the chance to see the progression of the car based on someones wrongful presumptions of the car before it was completely finished.  (hence why I have been copying and posting the pics on here from the other site.) Its nice to see that people are commenting on the progression now, yet the one person who seemed to have the biggest issue with this has not come on here to post any new comments.  My personal thought is that he hasn't replied since the car is turning out exactly the way that Dave had said it would look, not how he erroneously stated that the roof line was going to be too high.

I'm actually very happy that this thread has been very much civil compared to the original thread.  It would be nice to have the original person come out here and say he was wrong and be man enough to admit it.  I've eaten crow many times.  It sucks to do sometimes, but its the right thing to do.

Perhaps that member still does not like it and feels no need to repeat himself.  :2cents:

Amazing craftmanship.

Flat hood though...hopefully that will change to a raisin bran hood at least, if not an AAR hood.

Still...I think I'd put my efforts into creating a two-door 2015 Charger.
