            The level of craftsmanship that is going into this car is unbelieveable. Anybody know the plans for powertrain, options, interior color etc ?

The engine is going to be a 340 bolted to I think an automatic.  Interior color is black and will also have a black vinyl roof.

   to me it seem like the doors should be 2-3" shorter? Looks out of proportion to the roof? Workmanship is fantastic though

I agree it lacks the alignment between the top of the windshield, top of the doors and the rear glass. Cool that someone is taking the time to build it though.

The doors are the same height as the standard Challenger and Cuda doors.  From what I recall, the only thing that Dave and his crew had to do was to shorten the inner door frame in order to make it the same size as the outer door skin.

Here is a reply that Dave did on another forum:

One point that has been mentioned is the Roof Line. What some people don't understand is that a 4 Door Car is completely different than a 2 Door "Fast Back" design. You cannot have the shape of a 2 Door Barracuda Roof on a 4 Door version of the same vehicle. Look at any 4 Door Car that also comes in a 2 Door model and you will see the same type of "raised" look to the roof. The Rear Door has to exhibit a boxed out, large opening in order for ease of passenger entry. We actually lower the dome of the Roof by about an inch! The Belt Line had to be lower about an inch to match the Fenders and Quarters. That made the Window openings look slightly larger. It's basically a stock Roof design of a 4 Door Satellite. The Roof was never "raised".

   Plus 99% of the motoring public would never know that Plymouth never offered such an option.

How many 4 door to 2 door conversions have we seen?  so it's refreshing to see one go the other way.

All I can say is that you guys have huge ones for even contemplating such a project.
Why build it? Because I can! Not many people could make that claim, and few (including me) would even understand the level of skill required.
I chamber a lot of really accurate competition rifles with tolerances in the .0001" but stuff like this just amazes me.
I know my way around a mill and lathe pretty well but to watch people who can mold metal to there imagination just boggles my mind.

What are you guys using for rear door handles? since all e-body handles have key holes.

I thought this was awesome at the first posting and still do. It is looking great. Unless I am missing something, I do see an oversight on the fender tag. On E-Bodies the three zeros' designate the upper door frame color. On the tag, it is three zeros, would should indicate the same body color. On the car, the door frames are painted black. I like the BH41 as being what it should be for a 4 door. Help me out on this one guys. Maybe I missed something.

The zeros were intentional Dave said because there NEVER WAS A FOUR DOOR BARRACUDA that used codes that represented door frame colors.  Think of it this way, there were no "door frames" on the 2 door barracudas or challengers.  The door panels were full panels unlike the B bodies that had upper door pads or painted areas where the hard backed door panels did not cover.
