check the connections at the ammeter & firewall & make sure the out put wire from the alt has comtinuity through the ammeter
with the ing. switch off- check with a meter to see if there is about 12 volts at the alt's larger wire!!!
if there is- then there is a connection to the alt from the battery.
another check is to start the car- watch the battery voltage with a meter- off= about 12-13 volts, running should be above 13-14 volts.
now if is is 12-13- it's not charging- take the green wire off the alt and with a piece of wire- short that terminal and to the alt's case- that should put the alt into full charging- watch the meter for a up swing of voltage.
