Noticed this car is in the most recent issue of Hot Rod, so I took time to read the article. I knew it was Chevy LS powered from way back when the build started and I saw them selling of all the Mopar powertrain over on Pro Touring.com. Funny thing is the owner turned down a chance to put a Dodge Nascar P7 powerplant in it because he didn't know enough about the Dodge engines to build a good one and he was under a tight schedule that wouldn't allow him to wait on the delivery schedule of getting a Hemi, despite it being pointed out that Indy and Arrington could provide him with turn key solutions on a 3G Hemi.
So it turns out he fragged his $18k Mast Motorsports 660 hp LS. To keep on the Optima Ultimate Race schedule, he stuck in a stock LS with a cam swap, and is in the process of having another LS built by Mast. So naturally that begs the question, which I posted to him on Lat-G, how's the price and convenience of those three LS engines stack up against a single well built 3G Hemi?
