Saw it last night and I thought the steel 68 in the final scene was the coolest on the movie!
And when I saw Alan spell the name "VIN" in all caps I realized, wow, thats an appropriate name. I wonder if that was on purpose?
Two comments. First, I would think the 72-74 Cudas should now be getting a little more love, especially with the younger generation. Second, I thought it interesting how they blended in a lot of non-mopar cars, probably so as to not make it so obvious that Dodge is footing the bill. I bet they ponied up at least 10 million for the product placement.
I spotted a few cool fords, chevies, an R8, and of course the aston martins (and one maserati) for the british dude, and all the super cars for the arabs. Not to mention the occasional rice stuff. All cool. I thought it was a nice mix.
In the first head to head chicken contest when they crashed, I thought, "hey, no fair, the aston martins got airbags". then Vin has to notice a beefed up chassis!?
At about 50-60 mph each they would have probably both been dead anyway.
