Graveyard Carz........miscue???

Watching a rerun  recently.........a 1972 Dodge Charger R/T.......440 6  pak...............they were reinstalling the interior door panels............I thought there was supposed to be  plastic sheeting between the panel and the door metal.  They try to get all the little nuts and bolts correct.......how can they over look such a step???  Or am I incorrect?

Can't stand it.  I tried recording it and fast forwarding through the ridiculous drama and arguing.  Wasn't anything left.

You're on target - the way you have the plastic looks like it did on my car when I tore it down.

I have to give Worman credit though - I struggled with a driveline vibration for almost 30 years I couldn't figure out. When I restored the car I figured it would solve it but it didn't. Then I saw the episode with the Super Bee and Mark noticed that the engine was sitting cocked in the k-frame and said it could cause a vibration.

I immediately put my car up on the lift and saw the same thing! Apparently you can get it straight on the K when you assemble but when you put it in the car it can shift. I loosened everything and got it sitting naturally straight and problem solved! The one thing I got from the show but it was a big one!

You could actually see it on your car, or did you have to measure something?  Just wondering how far off it was.  (Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread)

Worman looked at the oil pan on the Superbee and saw that it was crooked in relationship to the bottom of the K-frame. I saw the same thing. I didn't measure and it's probably not perfect but it's much better than before.

I like the cars too, and think most of the drama is for TV, but any claims of "best" or "no one better" are all relative because there is nothing tangible to measure it against.  How can you take 2 '70 Cuda's restored to stock by Graveyard and Alan and compare them to say one is "best"?  Based on what?  Beyond the right part #'s and factory specs, it mostly opinion.

The guy is an egotistical ass. The questions are really rudimental but I have to admit he does know a lot of stuff off the top of his head. If he were in my shop he would have already had new dental work done by now.
