I think it is better as well, and I suspect it will get better the more episodes they put together, like most other things I am sure there is a learning curve for producing tv reality shows. As far as Mark begin a baffoon and/or egotistical arse, I think that is all part of the show, watch and learn something about how this one shop undergoes the restoration of Mopars but don't take any of the characters too seriously.

I didn't realize how crappy these cars were made until I watched the show. Good example is the sunroof Challenger.

Cant help because my doors dont have a plastic lining, but they may have at one time.  :dunno:

As for the show, I watch it from time to time. I have about 10 of them recorded I have to get to one day. I agree their schtick wore off on me a couple years ago, but I still enjoy watching and usually learn a thing or two.
AFAIK its the only mopar show out there, so I have no choice  :misbehaving:
I also enjoy fast and loud, and that show has another ass who is almost as unlikeable as Mark, but I can look past that stuff.
I think Richard is really like his character in real life though. When we got our $100 refund back at the Dallas gas monkey show (along with about 2000 other attendees) everyone got an envelope filled with one dollar bills.  :screwy:

If Darren and Josh worked in my shop they both would be fired. Only thing I can figure is Darren is blackmailing Worman to keep his job. That Darren is so obnoxious and lazy I would have beaten him senseless by now. Just think what they could do if they put out 8 hrs of work (between them all) in a day.

What do you mean? Has anyone actually seen a GYC restoration in person that they can comment on actual quality of their work?

I, for one, love that their is a show devoted to our beloved Mopars. The drama has to be in the show because not many people (other than us) would sit there and watch the show week after week if they were strictly working on cars the entire time. That's the television industry. Sure, the guys can be goofs, but it is entertainment after all and let's face it, who wouldn't want to trade places with him for a day and be a TV star?  :2cents:

Reality Rides is a great example of how a true restoration shop works...Unfortunately, they only made it one season because there wasn't enough idiotic antics going on during the hour-long show...As already stated, TV shows in this day & age only do well if there is "drama" added. : screwy:
1973 Dodge Challenger......................The ongoing project. (00/----\00)
1991 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin-Turbo....The sunny day cruiser (RTBoost)
1990 Toyota Celica GT Liftback...........The new daily & winter driver.
All-American Muscle: 'Cudas and Challengers...Still the Elite and always will be.

I was referring to the factory's work, not GYC.

Not  that I am all that interested but just curious is Holly still with the shop? I have not seen her for many episodes, not sure why she was there in the first place, except for the fact that they needed a person to pick up the phone and call prior owners, she didn't seem to have any knowledge of Mopars, except for the fact that they have 4 wheels  :)

I don't know but if I were her I would have moved on because of the way Darren was so creepy around her. He seemed to like to get her alone and grill her on the cars.

He must be doing something right. There are a lot of cars backlogged to be finished.

From what I understand, he's pretty cheap in comparison to other restoration shops. The guy that bought my Barrelcuda had a couple of cars restored there. He owned the V code orange Cuda they un-buried the first season. :screwy:
