I decided to try to get the jack paint mechanism matched and shoot it on all 3 parts that are painted Grey.
It was really close to being dead on to the original jack color. The guy at the paint store found a pantone that was super close. He mixed up a half pint of single stage paint and gave me some hardener.
Cost was about 45 bucks. Not bad!
I shot it last week, hung em to dry and they look sweet.
It even has a small OEM looking drip on it.
Trick to getting the jack mechanism off is to heat up the spiked up end and hammer it flat so you can release the jack mechanism from the jack tube. Then send out the jack tube for yellow Dichromate.
That was 55 bucks to get re plated after sand blasting it myself.
I'll post pictures tomorrow.
