Ok guys & gals here we go,
I said the cosmetic stuff was going to be last and I finally convinced myself to take her off the road.
The hardest part of this is going to be not driving the car for a long while, since I am going to do as much of this myself as possible, and try and enjoy the journey.
So here is what I found when I ripped the interior out this weekend.
Plenty of rust in the floor pans, but not nearly as bad as the trunk was. I think I can save the floor pans in the front, although it looks bad there seems to be solid metal under the rust. The RR floor pan has one small pin hole through so I will probably replace both rears.
All the advice I hear is to save as much original metal as possible, but the rear pans are small enough where replacing the whole things seems to make sense. Firewall and rear extension looks good. Trunk shot (already planned on that). I will find out what I have in the lower qtrs and around the windows once I get to that part.
I will post more pictures as I progress
