70 Cuda grill bar paint
« on: November 16, 2014 - 07:23:20 PM »
I'd like to repaint the grill bar on my 70 Cuda.  I know the paint is red, but can someone tell me what shade of red is correct?
thanks for your help.

Since no one has replied, guess I'll add some content to my question.  I know they make reproductions of these grill bars that come with the red stripe, but since mine are in excellent condition only missed the red paint I can't justify spending the $$$ on a new part.  My car is painted Rallye Red.  I don't think the stripe is Rallye Red, but I'm not sure.  I have some Blaze Red paint, which is a more dark red, than the rallye red, but would like to get the shape close to what the factory used.  Since this painted area is so small, I don't believe Eastwood carries a paint for this application, but I will check their website.
thanks again for any comments/suggestions.

Go to a reputable Auto Body Paint and Supply store and get them to match it.
Get a pints worth. Then shoot it with a mini jet gun.     :2cents:

I appreciate the suggestion, but in my case the bar was painted black and there is no red paint to use as a sample.
